The De Carlo automotive story

Automotive is
in our blood.

A family name shaped by engineering, ambition and a lasting passion for motor vehicles.

Long before Detail AutoHaus, Jason De Carlo's grandfather, Salvador De Carlo, helped put the De Carlo name on the road—and on the racetrack—in Argentina.

Where it began

A name with
automotive history.

Italian-born Salvador De Carlo founded Metalmecánica in Buenos Aires province. What began in manufacturing evolved into scooters, motorcycles and eventually a range of automobiles carrying the De Carlo name.

Among them were the De Carlo 600 and the BMW-based De Carlo 700. Introduced in the early 1960s, the 700 Coupé earned a special place in Argentine motoring history through its popularity in racing and rally competition.
